Online Radio Documentary
A World Beyond Capitalism is an an annual international conference. Its purpose includes building alliances for peace that bridge differences of language, race, class, gender, age, disability, and sexual orientation. Miae Kim produced this program with voices of some of the women involved. We hear Nicole M.C., conference volunteer; Desiree Ford, from Food Not Bombs; Georgia Pinkel, from the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom; Heide Gottner-Abendroth, a scholar of matriarchy from the International Akademie Hagia in Germany; Genevieve Vaughan, founder of the Center for the Study of the Gift Economy in Texas; keynote speaker Genny Nelson, founder of Sisters of the Road Café in Portland; and Rena Posner, from New Jersey, a founder of the student-run Tent State University.
